KARACHI: A policeman committed suicide at his home in Mehmoodabad area of the city on Tuesday.
According to sources, a 40-year-old policeman, Zahid Bhatti, son of Murtaza, shot himself with a pistol at his home in Mehmoodabad’s Azam Basti. As a result, he suffered serious injuries and died. However, the cause of suicide could not to be ascertained yet.
The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for medico-legal formalities. Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Amjad Javed Saleemi sought an immediate inquiry report from DIG East in this regard.
