Three killed in separate armed attacks

KARACHI: Three people, including a woman, were killed by unidentified men in different parts of the metropolis in the wee hours of Wednesday.

According to rescue sources, unknown armed men riding a motorbike opened fire at a 32-year-old man, Amir and a 24-year-old woman, Mukhatiba, in the city’s SITE Superhighway area. As a result, they suffered severe bullet injuries and died on the spot.

While confirming the incident police said that the couple had gotten married 18 months ago and residents of Orangi Town’s Mominabad. Police further said that the incident seemed a result of personal enmity.

The bodies were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

Separately, unidentified armed men opened fire at a 16-year-old boy, Shero in Monghopir area. As a result, he suffered bullet injuries and died on the spot.

The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for a postmortem examination.
