Karachi: The 17th edition of National Men and Women Netball Championships 2018 commences from Friday at Hamidi Hall, Pakistan Sports Board Complex in Islamabad.
The teams namely Army, WAPDA, Air Force, Navy, Police, Railway, Higher Education Commission (HEC), Baluchistan, KPK, Gilgit, Sindh, Punjab, Islamabad, FATA and Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) will be seen in action during the tournament. Army Men’s team and Sindh Women’s are defending champions in their respective events.
The top five teams will qualify for 33rd National Games 2018. Meanwhile, one host team will also be taking part in the National Games. Pakistan Netball Federation (PNF) will also select men and women netball players for upcoming international competitions.
Meanwhile, Ajaz ul Haque, Secretary Sindh Netball Association (SNA) has announced Sindh’s men and women teams for National Netball Championships.
Sindh women’s team:
Qurat ul Ain (Captain), Nayaz Razia (Vice Captain), Sakina Modi, Yusra Shoaib, Kashia Butt, Sumbal Zohra, Shahbana Moin, Kareena, Humaira Huma, Kanwal, Kareena, Kanza Blouch (Coach), Ejaz (Manager).
Sindh men’s team:
Hammod ur Rehman (Captain), Shaz Ghouri (Vice Captain), Ali Raza, Ghazanfar, Mohammad Khawar, Mohammad Owais, Hasal Ali, Hammad Khan, Harri, Areeb Ahmed, Mansoor Baig (Coach), Ejaz (Manager).
