10,000 vehicles checked in road checking drive

KARACHI:Sindh Minister for Excise and Taxation and Narcotics Control Mukesh Kumar Chawla Sunday asked the owners of the tax defaulting vehicles to pay their due taxes to avoid any untoward situation on the roads as the Sindh Excise Department’s road checking campaign would continue till 15th January.

To facilitate the tax payers, extra counters had been set up at Civic Centre in Karachi, he said in a statement. In a briefing, Director General Excise and Taxation Department Shabbir Ahmed Shaikh told Chawla regarding on-going campaign that 10,000 vehicles had been checked across the province and the campaign was in full swing. He also expressed his hope that the department would achieve its target of tax collection.
