Quetta:Frontier Corps Balochistan claimed to have recovered 145 kg opium during an intelligence-based operation against international drug smugglers near Pak-Iran border in Mashkail area of District Washuk.
According to official sources, the confiscated drugs were being smuggled into two pickup vehicles from Afghanistan through Pakistan to Iran which was foiled by Frontier Corps’ Taftan Rifles.
However, unidentified smugglers managed to escape taking advantage of rugged routes.
