KARACHI: District Health Officer, District East, Karachi has launched a crackdown on quacks, illegal medical & dental clinics, maternity homes and laboratories on the directives Director Health Services, Karachi.
DHO, District East, DrMasood Ahmed Solangi, while talking to PPI, said more than 40 illegal medical & dental clinics have already been closed, while FIRs were also lodged against quacks.
He said some laboratories were also closed during ongoing campaign over various irregularities.
He said anti-quackery teams have visited a total 220 medical & dental clinics and maternity homes out of which documents of 142 health practitioners were verified by the teams. He a total of 40 medical & dental clinics was sealed while FIRs lodged against eleven fake health practitioners.
He said crackdown on quacks will continue till control the illegal practices in District East.
