LARKANA:As many as 7000 policemen will provide foolproof for the 11th death anniversary of slain PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto to be commemorated on 27 December 2018 at her final resting place in Garhi Khuda Bux.
Informing about the security plan, Deputy Inspector General of Police Larkana Range Javed Akbar Riaz said on Monday that 28 SSPs, 76 ASPs / DSPs, 92 Inspectors, 290 Sub-Inspectors, 465 ASIs, 520 Head Constables and 5429 Constables would be deployed on the occasion.
People from Special Branch, RRF Commandos, SSU Commandos and Rangers will also be performing their duties on the occasion. DIGP said that entry points of mausoleum would be monitored through CCTV cameras and walk-through gates would also be installed.
He said Mazar would be cleared with the help of Bomb Disposal Squad, Special Control Rooms would be established at Garhi Khuda Bux and SSP-DIGP offices would monitor the entire situation. DIGP Javed Akbar said that law and order situation would be maintained at all costs during the mega event.
