ATC awards death sentence to 2 criminals

KARACHI:An Anti Terrorism Court (ATC-6) on Thursday awarded death sentence to two criminals for their involvement in a murder.

ATC-6, in the light of the evidences and arguments provided by prosecutor of Sindh Rangers, awarded the death sentence to Muhammad Aamir alias Totla and Mashoor Ahmed Ansari alias Masood.

According to the prosecution, both accused had killed a man, Muhammad Rizwan, on 31st December 2010 in Shah Faisal Colony.

Accused Muhammad Aamir is charged with the death sentence along with fine of Rs0.2 million, which will be given to the family of deceased, 7-year imprisonment and fine of Rs10 thousands for possessing illegal weapons and 6 months more imprisonment in case of not paying the fine, and Mashoor Ansari is charged with death sentence and fine of Rs0.2 million to be paid to the family of deceased.

The Sindh Rangers had arrested Aamir during the operation against Nine-Zero on 11th March 2015 and Ansari was arrested on lead provided by Aamir.
