Peshawar:Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has said that with the martyrdom of Maulana Samiul Haq, a valuable chapter of struggle for the enforcement of Deen and patriotism had been closed. He was talking to the media at the funeral of the departed leader at his cemetery in Akora Khattak.
Liaqat Baloch said that Maulana Samiul Haq was an intelligent, prudent and brave leader who had been anxious for safeguarding the Islamic ideology.
He said that the assassination of prominent personalities always caused unrest, uncertainty and instability in the country. He said he had the opportunity to have worked with Maulana Samiul Haq at different forums including Muttahida Shariat Mahaz, MMA, and Difa e Pakistan Council and the deceased had the capability to unite the people and groups on national, religious and international issues. He said that the large gathering at the funeral of the deceased proved his popularity among the people and the political and religious circles.
