LARKANA:A grand Jirga was held on Saturday to decide the four years old bloody dispute between Dahani and Sadhayo communities at the residence of MPA and GDA leader Moazim Ali Abbasi under the chairmanship of Sardar Manzoor Panhwar.
MNA Ghous Bux Mahar, Sardar Azhar Kamario, Najaf Kamario, Sardar Ali Nawaz Jalbani, Muhammad Khan Junejo, Behram Khan Buledi, Agha Mosavi Khan, Karim Bux Badani and others also took part in the Jirga.
After hearing the talks of both affected communities, it was proved that nine people of Sadhayo community were gunned down and three persons of Dahani community were killed while 16 people of both communities were injured in the dispute.
They all were fined a total of Rs 19.9 million out of which Rs 13.4 million will be paid to Sadhayo community by Dahani community and Rs 6.5 million will be paid to Dahani community by Sadhayo community.
For settling the issue of disputed land, a committee was formed consisting of four notables including Sardar Azhar Kamario and Sardar Ali Nawaz Jalbani. The committee will visit the land and decide the matter. After hearing the verdict of the Jirga both communities embraced each other.
