Karachi:Heritage Foundation of Pakistan revived Karavan Karachi after nearly two decades by taking up cleaning of historic Denso Hall (1886) located on Marriott Road here on Monday.
This initiative was taken by Yasmeen Lari, CEO of Heritage Foundation Pakistan, keeping in mind the injunction of Hon’ble Supreme Court to bring back the glory of Karachi. The objective is to take up the cleaning of all the historic buildings on the street, one at a time, and to eventually pedestrianize it.
The cleaning process took place in the evening in a festive atmosphere, with the street decorated with colourful Karavan Karachi banners, school band performing on the street, and activities taking place on and off the stage.
Arif Bahalim, director theatre and stage Karavan Karachi, the host of the day, welcomed all the participants.
The program started with the recitation from the Holy Quran followed by the national anthem.
