CM for addressing problems of quake affectees

HARNAI: Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, has issued directives to the concerned authorities to address the problems being faced by the earthquake affectees of district Harnai on priority basis.

These views were expressed by him during distribution of cheques amongst earthquake affected families of district Harnai in Balochistan province. Earlier, upon arrival, Chief Minister was greeted at helipad by Balach Aziz, Commissioner, Sibbi Div, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Sibbi Range, Syed Fida Hussain Shah, Director General, Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Naseer Nasar, Deputy Commissioner, Harnai, Suhail Anwar Hashmi and other authorities. Chief Minister Balochistan later distributed cheques, five lac for each deceased and two lac for injured, among the heirs of 17 deceased and 30 injured of October 7 earthquake.

Speaking on the occasion, Bizenjo said that work for restoring the basic structures, which had badly been damaged by the earthquake, would soon be started. He added that government was standing with the earthquake affectees till their complete rehabilitation. Issuing directions to the authorities of PDMA, Balochistan to ensure providing tents, blankets and other essential items to the affectees, he directed the concerned authorities to address the problems being faced by the earthquake affectees on priority basis.
