Lahore: Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Dr. Hassan Askari said that the protection of lives and property of the people of the province is the prime responsibility of the state.
He stated this while addressing a high level meeting in Lahore on Tuesday, in which measures taken for the security of the candidates in elections and the protection of the lives and property of the people were also discussed.
Caretaker Chief Minister Dr. Hassan Askari directed the concerned officials to give special attention to the security of the candidates. He said that implementation of a security plan designed for election rallies and meetings should be ensured.
