CM’s aide visits art exhibition

KARACHI:Special Assistant to CM Sindh for Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Syed Qassim Naveed Qamar has said that it is a fact that special children are second to none in talents.

“If they are properly guided, taught and trained, they can perform well, they just need friendly environment to show their talents,” this he said while visiting DEWA Awareness Carnival and Art Exhibition held at DEWA Complex.

Qamar visited various stalls and appreciated the art and other work displayed by special children. He took keen interest in the paintings and other art work of the special children and also encouraged them to do more work in future as well. During the visit, CEO DEWA Rizwan Ahmed Lodhi briefed Qamar regarding performance and plans of his NGO.

Qamar said the Sindh government was closely coordinating with NGOs working for welfare and rehabilitation of the special children. He appreciated them as well. He said that such festivals should be arranged on regular basis to bring hidden talents of the special children and they all should encourage them. He said that all stakeholders of the society, working for the same cause, should coordinate one another to get better results.

Vice Chancellor Karachi University Khalid Iraqi and CEO DEWA Institute of Special Inclusive Education Rizwan Ahmed Lodhi were also present on the occasion.
