Commissioner visits NICVD, other depts of CMCH

LARKANA:Commissioner Larkana Division Rafique Ahmed Buriro on Sunday visited NICVD and different departments of Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMCH) ahead of 11th death anniversary commemoration of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.

He inquired about the health of indoor NICVD and other departments’ patients. One of the patients complained to him that the duty doctor was asking him to come to his private clinic for proper treatment.

He immediately asked CMCH Medical Superintendent (MS) Dr Ali Gohar Dahri to probe the matter and issue explanation call to Senior Medical Officer Dr. Abdul Ghaffar Sangi. During his visit to Physiotherapy, Buriro was briefed about the available facilities by physiotherapist Dr. Ram Khatwani wherein he also demanded provision of an air-conditioner for which he directed Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nauman Siddique to provide.

Then he went to SIUT branch where he ordered that it must be completed before December 27. He directed the MS Dr. Dahri that all medicines should be provided from the hospital store to the ailing poverty-stricken admitted patients.

He said serving the poor patients was equal to praying. He said doctor’s attitude with the patients should be polite along with paramedics. He directed the MS to bring reforms to improve working of this largest tertiary care hospital of rural Sindh to provide better facilities to the incoming patients of downtrodden areas who arrive here from far-flung and remote villages of several districts.

He warned that no negligence in performing government duties would be tolerated. It must be mentioned here that Commissioner Buriro is posted in Sukkur but is also looking after the charge of Larkana Division.
