ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has imposed a fine of fifty thousand rupees and one month imprisonment to Senator Nehal Hashmi in contempt of court case.
Three member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa announced the reserved verdict with two one majority on Thursday.
The court also ruled that Hashmi stands disqualified from holding public office for a period of five years according to Article 63(1)(g) of the Constitution.
