Culture dept’s seven-day book fair begins in Larkana

LARKANA:With the cooperation of Sindh Culture and Tourism Department, a seven-day book fair began at Sir Shahnawaz Bhutto Memorial Library here on Tuesday.

It will continue till 12th March. The book fair was inaugurated by Commissioner, Larkana Division, Muhammad Saleem Raza Khuhro. While addressing the audience, Khuhro said that those festivals are very essential for students who are studying in various colleges and universities to gain knowledge.

He said books would be sold on cheaper rates than the market and advised the book lovers to procure books of their choice. He said books are the source of increasing knowledge and reading more books help raise knowledge of young people to a larger level.

He said reading books also develop confidence among the youth so they should not lose this opportunity to buy more and more books of their choice. Books published by Sindhi Adabi Board, Sindhica Academy, Peacock Printers and Publishers Sindh and Nao Niyapo Academy had been kept at various stalls established in the book fair.
