Customs foils gold smuggling bid

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Customs on Friday foiled an attempt to smuggle 230 tolas of gold and jewelries at Bacha Khan International Airport Peshawar.

According to spokesman of Pakistan Customs Naeem Bukhari, during search of six passengers who landed at Bacha Khan airport on flight EK-636, coming from Dubai, the Customs officials recovered 230 tolas of gold and jewelries worth million from their possession.

The custom officials registered a case against the accused and started further investigations.
