ISLAMABAD:A senior US state department official while talking to reporters in Washington has said we have long called for direct conversations between Pakistan and India to resolve issues.
According to a report, expressing concern over human rights situation in occupied Kashmir, he said India should move quickly to release detainees to restore basic freedoms and a return to normalcy.
Senior official said that United States continue to be very concerned by reports of detentions and the continued restrictions on the residents of the region.
