Education employees stage rally for promotions, timescale

THATTA:Sindh Technical and Vocational Education employees took out a rally here Tuesday for acceptance of their demands.

The participants, led by Munawar Khushik, marched from National Highway to Thatta Press Club. Carrying placards and banners, they were demanding timescale, promotions and timely salary payment.

Addressing the rally, the leaders Munawar Khushik, Farhan Memon and Attur Rehman said that they were performing their jobs since eight years, but there was not policy for safe future of the employees.

They said that the government had deprived them of time scale, promotions and timely salary payment, due to which they were in trouble. Now, the Chairman of Sindh Technical and Vocational Education is Sindh Chief Minister itself, therefore their issues should be resolved as soon as possible.

The leaders demanded of Pakistan Peoples Party President Asif Ali Zardari and Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto to come forward with concrete measures and help solve their genuine problems so as to end unrest among the employees.

They warned that they would widen the scope of the protest and hold a sit-in in front of Karachi Press Club if their demands are not met.
