Flag hoisting ceremony at Ziarat Residency

QUETTA:An impressive flag hoisting ceremony was arranged at Ziarat Residency on Tuesday, where the founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah spent his last days.

On the occasion, Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan, Commander Southern Command Lt General Asim Bajwa and Inspector General of Frontier Corpse (FC) Balochistan Major General Fayaz Hussain hoisted the flag.

In the function, boys and girls students presented tableaus and sang national songs.

Addressing the function, Jam Kamal Chief Minister Balochistan said that Pakistan was not a geographical fact rather an ideological unity. Whenever there was need, nation rendered sacrifices.

He said, “That day is the renewal of covenant and we will have to pay the right of pure land with our action”. He said that the founder of Pakistan determined future with his action, adding that Pakistan was a great country and a gift of Allah Almighty. He said that we were lucky to be the citizen of free, ideological and Islamic country.

Speaking at the occasion Qasim Suri, Deputy Speaker National Assembly said that enemy was harming us on the basis of colour and race and that day it was necessary to make Pakistan stronger in the light of principles of Founder of Pakistan.

The function was also attended by Federal Minister for Defence Production Zubaida Jalal and others.
