Four gamblers among 10 arrested

KARACHI: Police on Wednesday claimed to have apprehended 10 suspects, including four gamblers, during search operations in the metropolis.

According to police sources, during search operations in Pakistan Bazaar, Jauharabad, and North Nazimabad, police arrested four street criminals, Mohammad Qasim, Asif, Imran and Kherat Hussain, and recovered four TT pistols, and snatched mobile phones from their possession.

On a tip-off, SHO Hyderi Market, Zulfiqar Haider, raided in a gambling den and detained four gamblers, Mohammad Saleem, Mohammad Tariq, Siraj Ahmed and Mohammad Ajmal and recovered gambling money from them.

Separately, two robbers, Lal Jan and Saleem, were looting citizens in Azizabad area people overpowered and beat them up, ruthlessly. Police reached the scene and arrested the muggers.

Meanwhile, at least 35 suspects were detained by police in a search operation conducted in the metropolis’ Kati Pahari area.

SSP Orangi Abid Ali Baloch told that the suspects would free after interrogation.
