Gambat’s 200 villages hit by 15 hours power outage in Ramazan

GAMBAT:Over 15 hours power load shedding continued to hit over 200 villages of taluka Gambat during the holy month of Ramazan, making the life of fasting people miserable.

“The power load shedding of over 15 hours is being carried out in all villages of taluka Gambat as SEPCO feels no mercy in warm weather and fasting month of Islam,” said Nisar Ahmed, a resident of village Dilawar in Gambat taluka.

“Hot weather has compelled people to stay indoors during fasting but electricity outage causes difficulty in breathing air. The load-shedding and warm weather have made the life of people miserable” he said.

There is need to bring halt in load-shedding so that people could take a sigh of relief at least in the holy month of Ramazan. Children and old people are suffering from power outages and could fall ill.

The power load shedding is being carried out in all villages of 86 union councils of the Taluka Gambat that include Razi Dero Kacho, Noor Pur, Sagyoon, Ripri, Kamal Dero, Khemtia, Jadowahan and Belharo.

The business, education and social activities are badly affected. People pass life in trouble. It seemed that there is no merciful leader, who can resolve this issue. Imran Khan during political campaigns on containers and election drive had made big claims of resolving power outages issue, but there is not progress yet.

There is need to provide relief to the people of Gambat Taluka as climate change has made this area hotter one.
