KARACHI: Caretaker Sindh Chief Minister Fazul-ur-Rehman has said that IDEAS 2018 expo had transformed into an iconic event for the cutting-edge technology demonstrations as well as a forum of shared knowledge and expertise in Pakistan.
This he said on Wednesday while presiding over the 2ndsteeringcommittee meeting of IDEAS 2018 just to provide impetus to ongoing national level preparations for this strategically important event here at the CM House. The meeting was attended by senior representatives from federal ministries, various departments of the government of Sindh, Armed Forces of Pakistan, Law Enforcement Agencies and national electronic and print media.
The chief minister said: “It is an international recognition and participation that truly reflects our deeply embedded and mutually beneficial relations with the international fraternity. In fact, IDEAS is a shared platform for global peace, stability, and prosperity.” The 10″‘edition of IDEAS is scheduled from 27-30 November 2018 at Karachi Expo Centre.
He also said that IDEAS would further accelerate the commercial exchange between delegates, trade visitors, and defence officials. “The edition of IDEAS will also pave the way for fostering and promoting Pakistan’s strategic relations with international partners,” he said.
The chief minister highlighting that the 10“ edition of IDEAS is a testimony to their pledge for encouraging technological growth and exchange in the region. “The event will significantly contribute to fostering and promoting Pakistan’s strategic relations with international fraternity and would achieve the shared objectives of global peace, stability, and balance,” he said .
Director General DEPO, Maj General Ahmad Mahmood Hayat said that the event as per its traditions would host a number of splendid activities encompassing world’s cutting-edge defence technology demonstrations. During the meeting, all government organizations and departments pledged their full support to IDEAS 2018.
