KARACHI:Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Syed Kaleem Imam has directed the police personnel to remain on high alert in the wake of ongoing protest demonstrations and rallies in the metropolis.
A police statement here on Wednesday IGP directed the police ranges concerned to take adequate security arrangements at the district level for the maintenance of law and order.
The IGP instructed that in order to ward off any unpleasant incident additional police personnel be deployed at important places and roads to maintained traffic flow.
He also called for effective random checking, picketing, patrolling and surveillance, etc.
