KARACHI:Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Dr Syed Kaleem Imam on Wednesday ordered officials concerned for foolproof security cover to provincial by-polls on PS -94 in the metropolis.
The IGP further instructed that the process of sweeping, clearance, random checking, patrolling, picketing inside and around the polling stations should also be ensured.
He also directed that security of the candidates, voters and polling staff should be ensured. There should also be effective coordination between the polling officers and the staff, he added.
The police chief also issued directives to all police stations particularly District East to adopt all security measures and sharing of intelligence based information in their respective areas so that the better security and transparent polling could be ensured.
He said code of conduct should be implementing with the cooperation of all stakeholders and all police stations level.
