KARACHI:Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Dr Syed Kaleem Imam instructed all the Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs) of police to ensure security for Diwali festivities throughout Sindh province.
The police chief said security plans regarding the Lakshmi Pooja and other worship places of Hindus should be discussed with the dignitaries of Hindu community and an extraordinary security plan for the three days of Diwali celebrations must also be ensured.
Kaleem instructed that in order to avoid any unpleasant incident, additional police personnel be deployed at the temples and its surroundings.
