India: (Anti-Kashmiris move raises concern by civil society)

ISLAMABAD:In India, civil society has expressed concern over recent Indian anti-Kashmiris moves in occupied Kashmir.

According to a report, in a letter to the Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh, they said these moves including the prohibition of civilian traffic on Srinagar-Jammu highway, ban on Jamaat-e-Islami and Muhammad Yasin Malik-led Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front and arrest of Hurriyat leaders and activists.

They said such moves has dented India’s democratic credentials and added to further alienation in occupied Kashmir.

Meanwhile, Indian authorities have shifted the illegally detained Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Muhammad Yasin Malik from Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu to New Delhi’s infamous Tihar Jail.

Muhammad Yasin Malik is shifted to Tihar Jail after India’s National Investigation Agency secured his production remand in connection with a false case registered against him.
