International Conference on April 5

KARACHI: One day International Conference entitled “Redefining Mental Health and Wellbeing” organized by Department of Psychology, University of Karachi in collaboration with HEC will be held on Thursday, April 5th, 2018. Inaugural ceremony will be held on the said day at Arts Auditorium at 9:00 am. Governor Sindh and Chancellor KU MohammadZubair will be the chief guest while Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. MohammadAjmal Khan will preside the occasion.

According to Chairperson, department of psychology KU and Convener Prof. Dr. Farah Iqbal physical health and emotional wellbeing are increasingly becoming a focus of government policies and strategies. It grew out of a desire to fill the gap in the quest and exchange views on common challenges confronting mental health and wellbeing. “The aim of the conference is to actively learn from one another, and develop problem solving resources. Researchers from across the world along with medical practitioners and policy makers will come together to consider the promotion of a positive, mental and physical health outcomes”, Dr. Farah added.

Dr. Christopher from UK, Dr. Monisha Kumar, Al Hikmeh University, Saudi Arabia, Dr. Joshua GichabaManduka, University of Kenya, Dr. Pau Kee, University of Malaysia, Program Coordinator Prof. Dr. Qudsia Tariq and many other international and national scholars will be presenting their research papers.
