Quetta: International Disabled Day was observed at Jinnah Hall, Quetta. A seminar to observe International Disabled day was arranged by Anjuman-e- Mazuran Balochistan at Jinnah Hall Quetta Metropolitan. Syed Haleem Shah Chishti, President, Anjuman-e-Mazuran Balochistan presided over the seminar.
The seminar was attended by a large number of disabled persons.
Syed Haleem Shah Chishti, President, Anjuman-e-Mazuran, Balochistan said that each year 3rd of December is celebrated to show solidarity with disabled person, but in Balochistan disabled persons were deprived of their basic rights. He demanded of the authorities to implement the decision of the Honourable Supreme Court of Pakistan and 5 percent quota be implemented while making initial recruitments against the vacant positions.
He also demanded that wheel chair facilities be provided in all government hospitals of Balochistan so that the disabled persons may not confront difficulties in getting treatment.
