JI amir criticizes NS

LAHORE: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has said that the Mumbai attacks issue had been raised by ousted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif himself and the explanations he was giving now were creating more problems for him and his party.

Addressing the central executive of the JI at Mansoora on Monday, he said it would have been better for Nawaz Sharif to admit his mistake.

Sirajul Haq said the nation fully knew that Nawaz Sharif was a close friend of Indian Premier Modi. However, he said, nobody expected that the man who had been the Prime Minister of Pakistan thrice, would make such an irresponsible statement concerning national security that would not only land him and his family in trouble but also create problems for the nation and the country.

He said that at a time when the country was under great pressure at the international level, the political leadership should be most careful while speaking on sensitive and national issues.

Haq thanked the people, especially the Lahorites for thronging the Minar e Pakistan grounds and making the MMA public meeting last evening a great success.

He said the MMA was the true representative of the nation’s aspirations and sentiments. He said the MMA leadership lauded the cooperation of the people in the struggle for the enforcement of the Nizam e Mustafa. He said the MMA would certainly achieve the goal for which this country had come into being and would not spare any sacrifice in this direction.

The JI chief said that the success of the Minar e Pakistani meeting had raised the morale of the Islamic forces while the agents of secularism and colonial powers were greatly upset. He expressed the hope that the MMA would gather more public support in the days ahead.
