Karachi:Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Sindh chapter is holding protest demos in different cities and towns of the province on Friday against price hike.
On the call of JI amir Sirajul Haq, the demos would be held in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Nawabshah, Mirpurkhas, Shikarput, Jacobabad, Tando Adam and other cities and towns after the Friday prayer.
However, JI Sindh amir Muhammad Hussain Mehnati has said that the recent report of Transparency International about rise in corruption in Pakistan depicts the true face of sitting incompetent and corrupt government.
He said direct and indirect taxes are rising and so the prices of basic kitchen items like wheat flour and sugar. He said growing poverty has made life miserable for common man. He appealed to citizens to participate in the demos of Jamaat-e-Islami on Friday.
