Judge annoyed over lack of facilities in Larkana college

LARKANA: The students of Government Boys Degree College, Larkana, complained to the Vth Civil Judge and Judicial Magistrate, Anwar Ahmed Jalbani that their college has no facility of cold drinking water and prolonged electricity outage is being conducted during college timings which has badly affected their studies as the institution also has no standby generator facilities.

The Judge conducted a surprise raid on Saturday to check the facilities available in the largest district headquarter college of Larkana which has over 4000 enrollment in various classes. He expressed his displeasure over the lack of facilities and directed the College Principal Prof Ghulam Sarwar Qureshi to ensure availability of all required facilities or stern action will be taken against him.

The Judge went though all classrooms and monitored the studies and working of professors, lecturers and other staff. The visiting judge was further told by the students that the condition of washrooms is so bad that students cannot use them due to bad smell as the same are not cleaned. He also visited canteen and found that it had no proper sitting arrangements, as broken chairs were lying and there was uncleanliness. He warned the contractor to improve prevailing conditions without loss of further time or he will be taken to task. Students also complained that some influential teaching faculty members also remained absent due to which their studies have been severely affected. The judge checked the muster roll and verified their attendance.
