KIHD introduces private practice for faculty in evening

KARACHI: Karachi Institute of Heart Diseases (KIHD) has introduced private practice for faculty members in addition to their own official duties after 01:00pm to facilitate patients with cardiovascular diseases.

The KIHD management has allowed private practice to faculty members in Sindh’s second largest cardiac care health facility in addition to their own official duties on the directives of the Mayor Karachi.

In order to rationalize the same, it has been decided by the management that faculty staff will follow a pattern of seeing 50 per cent patients in general time and 50 per cent private patients and the private procedure would be performed after 01:00 pm.

However, patients from Zakat fund are not included in this schedule.

The above instructions may be adhered with. In case of non-compliance payment beyond 50 per cent private practice will not be allowed, said a directive.
