Karachi:Swarms of locust were seen in some areas of the city, especially in districts of East and Malir.
Some areas in Korangi also witnessed locust swarms. A cricket match in the national stadium was briefly interpreted due to presence of locust. Officials say that these swarms have reached the megacity from coastal areas of Balochistan and they would leave the megacity in a couple of days.
However, the provincial government has ordered to carry out fumigation in agricultural areas of Malir.
