Magsi shocked at killing, kidnapping of Sindh daughters

LARKANA:Sindh Taraqi Pasand Party (STP) Chief Dr Qadir Magsi has said that daughters of Sindh had become unprotected in their own province adding one week had passed to the kidnapping of Dua Mangi but Sindh government had done nothing as yet to recover her.

He was talking to newsmen at Lalu Raunk press club near here Friday. He said every second day a news was coming from one city or village about murder, kidnapping or sexual assault of a daughter but, he added, he had never read the news that Sindh police had arrested the accused involved in the inhuman crimes and got them punished.

He said the current position was that swarms of locusts had invaded and destroyed standing crops in Sindh but the chief minister was saying that plant protection was the job of the federal government. If everything is to be done by central government then what is the job of provincial rulers and what they are ruling, he asked.

He said Sindh’s voters had become captive to the political jagirdars, landlords and Sardars which was very unfortunate. He said until the voters were not ready to get themselves released from the clutches of these people to cast their vote on his/her own will, the conditions in Sindh would not improve.

Magsi further said that Imran Khan would have to further improve his policies or else his future would not be better. Magsi later on offered condolences with STP leader Mumtaz Sheedi over demise of his cousin at his residence. He was accompanied by Zulfiqar Halepoto, Comrade Nusrat Hussain Chan, Muhammad Hayat Tunio, Murtaza Chandio, Dilbar Pechuho, Faiz Bohiyo and others.
