SHIKARPUR:A man was gunned down by his rival group men at village Shah Jaleel Marfani within the limit of Hamayoon police station on Monday.
The armed men of Asghar Ali Marfani group shot dead Munawar Ali, aged 40, son of Sikandar Ali Marfani, when he was offering Fateha at the shrine of Peer Jaleel Shah.
The assailants fled on their motorbikes after swift operation. Hamayoon police rushed to the scene and shifted the body to RBUT Civil Hospital Shikarpur for medico-legal formalities. The body was later handed over to the heirs.
As per area police that the cause behind the murder was said to be an ongoing old dispute between the two rival groups of Marfani tribesmen.
Neither FIR could be registered, nor any arrest was made till filing this story.
