SUKKUR:A man was shot dead and his companion injured in an armed attack at Wazirabad Gate along Sukkur-Shikarpur National Highway in the jurisdiction of Lakhi police station on Wednesday.
A report reached here that two persons, residents of village Abad Noon, after having COVID-19 Vaccines, were going back to their village, when a group of armed men riding motorcycle opened fire on them at Wazirabad Gate Lakhi near Shikarpur.
As a result, Shahnawaz Noon, 45, was killed on the spot while Muhammad Asif Noon, 30, received serious bullet injuries. Area police shifted them to Taluka Hospital Lakhi for medico-egal formalities and treatment, respectively. The assailants fled after swift operation. No case could be filed till filing this report.
