Minister annoyed over Valika Hospital’s dismal condition

KARACHI: Provincial Minister for Labour and Human Resources, Ghulam Murtaza Baloch has paid surprise visit to Kulsum Bai Valika Hospital in Karachi and showed his annoyance over the poor cleanliness at the hospital.

He said that how poor patient will recover in this pathetic and unhygienic condition inside the hospital. The minister directed medical superintendent of Kulsum Bai Valika Hospital, Dr Muhammad Nawaz Gahoti to take strict action against all the supervisors and cleaning staff for showing negligence in their duties.

Baloch went through all wards and sections of hospital, including operation theater, offices, rooms, and pharmacy. He inquired the patients about the services and facilities provided at the hospitals and also paid heed to their complaints.

He inspected the food provided to the patients by the hospital mess and showed satisfaction over its quality. The minister directed all doctors and staff to be humble and friendly while treating and dealing with patients and their attendants.

He added that the poor and ill workers needed extra attention and care. He warned and said that he would pay surprise visits in the future too and if anybody is found guilty, he will take actions against them.
