UMERKOT:Fourteen dengue cases have been reported in Civil Hospital Umerkot, the hospital sources told PPI on Monday.
Medical Superintend of Civil Hospital Umerkot Dr Azam Khosa and three other hospital employees were among the dengue patients. They underwent high temperatures upto 104 and 15 degrees. Other patients include Usman Chandio, Hashim, Talib, Ismael, Parmand, Niaz Ali, Irshad Ahmed, Razia, Mohammad Ismael, Suleman and Mir Hassan.
MS Dr Azam Khosa told PPI that he and his three hospital employees had been infected by dengue virus at home but not at the hospital. He said that kits and other facilities for dengue treatment are available. The dengue cases are continuously rising in the district due to lack of fumigation.
