NAB Karachi receives 5800 complaints in 8 months

Karachi:National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has received and addressed more than 5800 complaints during last 8 months.

A NAB release here Tuesday, said Under the vision of Chairman NAB and ever since DG NAB (K) Brig (R) Farooq Naser Awan, took charge of this Bureau on 11 October 2018 a huge backlog of complaints was cleared.

During this period (11 Oct 2018 – to date) NAB Karachi received and disposed of over 5800 complaints. Besides it completed 130 complaint verifications, 109 inquiries, 31 investigations and 16 references were filed in Accountability Courts.

NAB Karachi recovered Rs489.177mn looted money through plea bargain (PB) and 97 accused were also arrested.
