No letup in HIV cases in Ratodero

RATODERO:As many as four more HIV positive cases emerged at Taluka Headquarter Hospital screening camp on Friday out of 85 tested and all of them are children.

The toll has climbed to 876 out of which 719 are children and 157 are adults as so far 30,191 people from the general population have been screened here who also belong to nearby surrounding villages. However, Sindh AIDS Control Program (SACP) claimed that no positive case was detected at other outreach sites of Naundero, Banguldero, Lashari, Pir Bux Bhutto of Larkana district and Garhi Yasin of Shikarpur district where only 14 persons were tested for HIV.

Meanwhile, an eight-year HIV positive little boy Abdul Basit son of Ghulam Mustafa Tunio expired here. His parents also alleged that no proper medical treatment was given to him due to which he lost his life.
