One dies, six injured in market bomb blast

KARACHI: One man died and six others were injured in Kharadar’s Cloth Market as hand grenade bomb was lobbed by unknown motorcyclist-riding miscreants here on Thursday.

A hand grenade was thrown in Kharadar area of Lyari to a cloth market which left one person dead and six others injured.

The injured were identified as, Ismail, 39, Waqas, 30, Abdul Sattar, 65, Babu, 35, Abdul Aziz, 70, and Usama 25. The injured and the body was brought to the Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK).

The police and Rangers reached the scene and started probe in this regard.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh AD Khowaja took notice of the bomb attack and directed to SSP City to submit a probe report in this regard as soon as possible.

However, Sindh Home Minister Suhail Anwar Siyal also took strict notice of incident and directed DIG South to submit details.
