Paltry decrease is oil prices joke, Mehanti

KARACHI:Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Sindh chapter Amir Ex-MNA Muhammad Hussain Mehanti has said that nominal decrease in prices of oil is a joke with public, adding petrol prices are raised by Rs15 to 20 liter but decreased by 59 paisa per liter.

In a statement, he said that oil prices in international market are decreasing day by day but the sitting PTI government is not providing relief to the public by decreasing rates of petroleum products accordingly. He reminded that when Imran Khan was in opposition, he used to demand petrol prices should be cut by Rs50 rupees per liter by abolishing tax and petroleum levy.

The JI leader added that rates of daily use commodities are increasing affecting people badly due to poor policies of rulers. He said now the PTI government has also increased charges for Hajj, which would affect low income Pakistanis intending to perform Hajj.
