ISLAMABAD:Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has inaugurated the Spring Tree Planting Campaign by planting a sapling at PM Office with a pledge for a greener Pakistan.
He urged all Pakistanis particularly farming community to actively participate in the Spring Tree Planting Campaign 2018 by planting maximum trees.
He said that the Capital Development Authority will plant saplings in collaboration with various non-government organizations, schools, colleges and universities.
The campaign is most importance in view of the fact that Pakistan’s natural forests are under persistent threat of depletion due to erratic climate change.
He said the government is taking keen interest in providing forestry and increasing the forest cover in the country. During the campaign 100 million additional saplings will be planted to make Pakistan Greener.
