Politics: (Imran Khan to be sworn-in as PM on August 18: PTI)

ISLAMABAD: PTI Spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry has said that oath taking ceremony of Imran Khan as Prime Minister of Pakistan will be held on August 18.

He said Imran Khan will neither stay in the Prime Minister House nor Punjab House as he will prefer to reside in a common house at the Ministers’ Enclave.

He said the new prime minister can stay in the Punjab House for some time till the renovation work is completed at the preferred residence in the Ministers’ enclave.

He said the expenses of maintenance will be borne by Imran Khan himself instead of using state funds on the residence of the upcoming prime minister.

He also made it clear that all the expenses incurred on the security arrangements at Imran Khan’s Banigala residence have also been paid by the PTI chief himself.

He said election for Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly is held on the basis of secret ballot, while leader of the House is chosen through divisions of the House.
