Mithi:Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers’ Association (PPMA) is organizing 4th Pakistan Pharma Summit on 24th April, 2019 in Karachi that has become the annual biggest gathering of people associated with Pharmaceutical Industry in the country. The theme of the conference this year is Pharma in the age of Data and Disruption.
Eminent names such as Prof. Dr. Sarfaraz K. Niazi (Sitara-e-Imtiaz) – Founder Therapeutic Proteins, a biosimilars Company, USA; Dr. Adil H. Haider – Dean, The Agha Khan University and Co-Founder, doctella.com, USA; Khurram Hamid – Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer, Investech Partners Investment LLC; Daniel Ghinn – Top Global Pharma Influencer UK; Dr. Nadia Bukhari (Fellow of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society) will address the conference. Jill Donahue – President and Founder, EngageRx and Dr. Kivilcim Kayabali – Founder of PTMS Organizer of Digital Health Summits will be addressing the conference via Skype.
Chairman of Pakistan Pharma Summit, Dr. Shaikh Kaiser Waheed expressed the hope that the summit will build on the momentum of the first three such summits held previously in Karachi and Lahore. He further added that the conference will be discussing the current innovations and technology trends in the pharma industry, the emerging issues such as Precision Medicine, Wearables/IoT, Digital Thereupatics, Data Analytics, Health Tech Startups, Serialization, Social Media, AI and Blockchain in Pharma, etc. will also be discussed.
Founders of five health startups will also give innovative talks on different aspects of digital health. The conference is also preceded by a pre-conference workshop on Digital Health Pharma 101 – Physician and Patient Engagement beyond the Pill on Tuesday, 23rd April 2019 which will be co-facilitated by Daniel Ghinn and Dr. Zakiuddin Ahmed – Digital Health Expert and Health Entrepreneur.
