PPP leader blames Center for gas shortage in Sindh

LARKANA:Adviser to Sindh Chief Minister for Universities and Boards Nisar Khuhro has said that 70% of gas is being produced in Sindh but the province is not getting its due share of gas.

The federal government is insisting to deprive Sindh of its natural gas and insisting to provide LNG to people of Sindh which will not be accepted by Sindh, he said while talking at a function of minorities to distribute cheques among minority community members at District Council Hall Monday.

He said construction of a power house on Chashma-Jehlum Link Canal will never be acceptable to Sindh, adding federal government should not make such decisions which will deprive small provinces of their rights.

He said on one side funds are not being released on old NFC award and on the other new NFC award is not being announced. He claimed that due to non-receipt of funds uplift works in the province have been badly affected and development budget is curtailed. He said massive price-hike is failure of PTI government that runs on empty slogans and U-turns.

He distributed 100 cheques, each of Rs 5000, among the members of minority community.
