KHAIRPUR:A policeman was shot dead in Khairpur on Tuesday.
Two unidentified armed men riding a bike opened fire on a policeman, Atta Mohammad Bhutto, in the city, when he was returning after taking the B-I examination at Police Training Centre.
As a result, he suffered severe bullet injuries and died on the spot. The victim was the resident of village Kot Mir Mohammad near Pirjo Goth.
The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Khairpur for medico-legal formalities and later handed over to the heirs. No culprit could be arrested till filing this report. However, search for the killers was underway, the police said.
