PRCS alerts provincial centres about Coronavirus

KARACHI:Chairman Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Ibrar ul Haq said several people died and thousands other affected due to outbreak of Coronavirus in China but worse thing is that no any vaccine is currently available for treatment of this viral disease.

This he said while addressing a press conference at Karachi Press Club here last evening.

He said federal government is in touch with Chinese government to get kits used to diagnose Corona-virus as there were not such kits available in Pakistan to detect this viral disease.

He said PRCS has alerted the all provincial branches for preparedness to deal coronavirus like emergency situation in Pakistan and quick response units are being established in provincial centers. He said PRCS is also in contact with Red Crescent Society of China.

Ibrar ul Haq said training of volunteers will be conducted while awareness based guideline literature is also being prepared to cop up any possible coronavirus emergency situation. He said several Pakistani students and other citizens were trapped in China and the government is making efforts for their safe return.
